How to Compose and Submit Document Templates for This Site
Thank you for taking the time to carefully review these guidelines for submitting templates for publication on this site. This page is important as it is the goal of the creator to reach 300 templates and to continue to evolve in web design ' development, thus your involvement is encouraged and necessary.
To properly submit templates to this website, please examine the following criteria as the standards for document submission:
Template Format
- The primary font for the templates shall be Times New Roman, size 11 or 12 pt.
- The secondary font for the templates shall be Courier New, size 11 or 12 pt.
- All name & address fields are to be highlighted in yellow.
- All CAPITAL LETTER FIELDS shall be DOUBLE SPACED for readability.
- All documents shall have each page numbered in the bottom–center area, the bottom–right area, or the top–right corner.
- All judicial templates must have a side ledger with line numbering.
- Line items require proper semicolons at the end of each line.
Grammar & Spelling
- All words must be spelled correctly.
- All sentences shall be constructed coherently, conveying thoughts concisely with a clear subject and predicate.
- All complete sentences shall contain a proper subject and predicate without run–on phrases or comma splices ⁄ punctuation misuse.
Writing Cohesion
- Are you able to arrange your thoughts on a specific topic in a way that does not lose focus?
- Does each paragraph (or clause) contain information only supportive of its topic sentence?
- Is the draft's content set in its best order or sequence?
Legal Format
- Case citation must be italicized.
Example: Plaintiff v. Defendant, 323 U.S. 56 (1950)
- Statute text must be italicized.
- Judicial documents must be organized with tabular columns for line numbering.
- Proper addressing of documents that differentiate a private man or woman and the LEGAL NAME

- The example names must not deviate from "First Middle Last", "First–Middle: Last", and "FIRST MIDDLE LAST".
- Copyright affidavits and similar documents require an identifying number in the header or footer of the document.
